Now, this quilt I made for my mom. She saw it in a book and liked it so much, I made it for her. It took me exactly 1 year to make it as it hasn't seen a sewing machine from nearby. For the fun of it hubby and I calculated the hours I put into this - as I may say so myself - exquisite piece of quilting. It took 500 hours of my precious evening hours to make. Of course I told mom so she would really appreciate it for what it is: a most loving gift.
Oh yes, and one little detail: I made it double sided, so mom can turn it over depending on the weather or her mood or whatever. One side is all sunny and bright, and the other all calm and soothing.
Just a quick word on taking pictures of quilts: it is not easy to take the whole picture, so for the moment, you won't see it until I master this skill...
And this is the soothing backing of the quilt. I hope you can see the beauty of the little flowers on this fabric. I'm really ecstatic about it. I bought it in green as well, so you'll be seeing more of it.
